Doc.It Adds Tax Functions to Document Software

Doc.It has released the latest version of its document management software with new features for next tax season.

Doc.It Suite 3.3 features a new auto-forms recognition feature that enables users to automate the detection of familiar documents produced by applications including tax, bookkeeping and office productivity software. The software’s universal search functionality now allows users to search across any binder, where data files from Word and Excel and e-mails are managed. Universal search also works with the archive of PDFs maintained by the Doc.It software.

In addition, users of CCH’s tax software will be able to jump to the appropriate section of a tax return when a tax slip is selected in the client’s work-in-process binder. Support has also been added for CaseWare users for the link and batch print features in CaseWare 2009.

Doc.It Suite 3.3 includes an “intelligent scan cover page” feature that allows users to print out distinct cover pages for scans and can be useful for tax preparers during tax season. The manuals and help system have also been improved.
