Columbus, Ohio (August 22, 2003) -- Big Four firm Ernst & Young appointed Julie T. Kunkel, to Columbus Managing Partner, effective immediately.
Kunkel is the first female executive in Columbus to be appointed to managing partner within the professional services firm sector, including accounting and law. She succeeds Stephen T. Starbuck, who has been promoted to tax managing partner of the firm's Ohio Valley Area, a tri-state territory covering Central/Southern Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
Kunkel recently relocated from Minneapolis to Columbus to serve as Coordinating Partner on the Limited Brands Inc. external audit, which Ernst & Young was awarded in April 2003.
