Eide Bailly Merges in Three Firms

Accounting firm Eide Bailly has expanded by combining with three other practices: Gordon, Hughes & Banks; Keller, Young & Grover; and Magee, Rausch & Shelton.

The expansions bring Eide Bailly's total staff to more than 1,200 people, including 157 partners. The firm's total revenues for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2008, were $114 million. The three firms add a combined total of more than $18 million of revenue to the firm.

"With each of our expansions, Eide Bailly continues to emphasize local service with national resources, focusing on personal client relationships," said managing partner and CEO Jerry Topp (pictured) in a statement. The firm ranked 25th on Accounting Today's 2008 list of the Top 100 Firms.

The merger with Gordon, Hughes & Banks marks the Fargo, N.D.-based firm's expansion into the Colorado market. GHB has six offices in Boulder, Denver, Frisco, Golden, Grand Junction and Vail, with 82 staff members and 15 partners. James Lyons, managing partner of GHB, will serve as the partner-in-charge of Eide Bailly's Colorado practice.

Keller, Young & Grover adds more than $1.6 million of revenue and three partners and five staff members in the Boise office.

Three partners from Magee, Rausch & Shelton are joining Eide Bailly in Tulsa, in addition to 25 staff members. MRS adds more than $3.5 million of revenue to Eide Bailly.
