Eide Bailly to merge in Heider, Tanner & Dirks

Eide Bailly LLP, a Top 100 Firm, is expanding in Denver by adding Heider, Tanner & Dirks, Inc, effective Jan. 15.

As part of the deal, eight professionals from Heider, Tanner & Dirks, including two partners and six staff members, will join Eide Bailly’s Denver office. Eide Bailly has 261 partners and 1,631 staff.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Eide Bailly ranked 19th on Accounting Today’s 2017 list of the Top 100 Firms. The firm has $263 million in annual revenue, while Heider, Tanner & Dirks has $1.9 million.

“As a regional firm, we have a personal service approach while offering ‘big-firm’ resources,” said Eide Bailly managing partner and CEO Dave Stende in a statement. “Heider, Tanner & Dirks is a natural fit for us in both business and culture.”

Heider, Tanner & Dirks managing partner Dick Heider sees the merger as a positive step for his firm and clients. “We found a firm that shares our value for client service and works with small- and medium-sized businesses and high-net-worth individuals,” he said in a statement. “Many of our clients have been with us for several generations. Joining Eide Bailly gives us the opportunity to grow with our clients and continue serving them for years to come.”

Eide Bailly has done a number of mergers this past year, including Davis Kinard in Texas and Spring2 Technologies in Lehi, Utah; Hawkins Advisors in Orem, Utah; Roth & Co. in Des Moines, Iowa; and Langenhorst & Self-Merritt CPAs in Spokane, Wash.
