EISI Adds Ibbotson Asset Allocation Option to NaviPlan

Winnipeg, Manitoba (April 20, 2004) -- Emerging Information Systems Inc., the developer of NaviPlan financial planning software, has made Ibbotson Associates' asset allocation option available in the latest version of NaviPlan.

In version 9.0, being released this month, Ibbotson components in risk tolerance, model portfolios, security classifier and mean-variance optimizer will be available in both the browser-based NaviPlan Standard and NaviPlan Extended, EISI announced.

The areas that the new relationship will cover include a model that determines the client' risk tolerance and recommends an appropriate asset mix for each of five risk levels, plus a security classifier that evaluates a current or proposed portfolio of investments by classifying individual securities and then rolling them up into an overall asset mix. The mean-variance optimizer finds an optimal asset mix and them compares it with the client's current mix by looking at risk and return, as well as forecasts.
