ERG acquires Burch Consultants

In a move to deepen its penetration into southwestern markets, middle-market software and consulting concern Enterprise Resource Group, headquartered here, has acquired Houston-based Burch Consultants.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The companies - both Best resellers - represent the MAS 90, MAS 200, MAS 500, BusinessWorks, Abra, Accpac Pro Series, Accpac CRM, MIP and FAS lines. ERG also represents SAP Business One.

Going forward, Burch Consultants' principals Randy and Peyton Burch will become members of the ERG executive team, with Peyton Burch serving as their chief operating officer.

Following a 90-day transition period, Burch Consultants, which evolved from local CPA firm Burch & Co. CPAs, will operate under the ERG brand.

"We are thrilled that an organization with the reputation and skill set of Burch will be joining ERG," stated Greg Boyd, the president of ERG, in a statement. "It is our goal to enhance the choice of technology solutions, talent and value that we bring to the market."

With the addition of Burch Consultants, the 17-year-old Enterprise Resource Group now has 50 employees and projects to hit roughly $8 million in revenue for 2005.

Both Burch Consultants and ERG were named to Accounting Today's 2004 Technology Pacesetters list of prominent resellers.
