Ernst & Young adds RPR Partners

RPR Partners LLP, a tax advisory firm in San Diego, has joined Ernst & Young LLP, EY said Tuesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed. EY, based in New York, ranked 3rd on Accounting Today’s 2017 list of the Top 100 Firms. Worldwide, the firm reported $31.4 billion in revenue for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2017.

RPR Partners was founded in 2000 by co-directors Robert P. Regnery and Kenneth R. Van Damme II, who both previously worked for EY. Their firm specializes in providing tax consulting and advisory services to real estate businesses and high net worth individuals. They will both be returning to EY and their firm will become part of the EY Private Client Services practice.

“The addition of this team reflects our commitment to growing strategic areas with unmatched knowledge to meet each of our clients’ needs and to contribute to our EY Global Family Business Center of Excellence,” said EY Americas vice chair of tax services Kate Barton in a statement. “We are particularly proud to have Bob and Ken back at EY, bringing their talented and insightful team with them.”

Regnery has 30 years of experience advising clients at private and public companies, while Van Damme has more than 27 years of tax advisory experience in the real estate industry and with high net worth clients. “Having previously worked at EY, Ken and I know that EY professionals strive to be trusted business advisors to their clients,” said Regnery in a statement. “They embrace our philosophy of addressing each client’s unique needs and helping organizations – and people – succeed in today’s complex and changing environment.”
