Evensky & Katz Launch Institutional Consulting Practice

Coral Gables, Fla. (Aug. 26, 2003) -- After years of ad hoc consulting, high-profile financial planners Deena Katz and Harold Evensky have made their consulting business official.

The husband-and-wife team have formed “The Dynamic Duo,” to offer institutional consulting services as well as day-long and shorter educational programs on topics that run the gamut from marketing and public relations to incorporating behavioral finance into your practice and managing client expectations.

“We’ve been doing it ad hoc for years and we enjoy it,” Evensky said. “We decided if we formalize it, we’ll be able to plan our time better. We’ve been getting far more requests in the last six months.”

“Our expectation is interest from financial services firms, such as broker/dealers, insurance companies, software companies, banks and accounting firms -- who are getting involved in or are interested in having a better understanding of our world, which is the traditional financial planning wealth management process,” Evensky said. “What we do best is help people conceptualize, brain storm,” he added. “Our forte is working with people on deciding where they want to go, whether it’s practical, and how to get there.”
