EY San Diego Managing Partner Bruning to Receive Career Achievement Award

Robert Bruning, a managing partner of EY’s San Diego practice, has been honored by the University of San Diego with the Author E. Hughes Award for Career Achievement.

Bruning will accept his award during the 19th Annual Alumni Honors gala on April 26. The ceremony will be held in the Joan B. Kroc Institute of Peace & Justice.

Bruning earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from USD’s School of Business Administration in 1986.

“Robert has guided market-leading companies through recessions, economic crises and financial recoveries. In good times and in challenging times, he has contributed to San Diego region’s economic, cultural and civic vitality,” said David Pyke, dean of USD’s School of Business Administration.

Bruning has nearly 30 years of experience coordination services for global clients across the Asia Pacific region, Europe and China. He has took part in more than 100 public transactions related to equity or debt financings and acquisitions. As the managing partner for the EY San Diego practice, Bruning manages more than 300 accounting, tax, transaction and advisory professionals in Greater San Diego.
