Decosimo has opened a new office in Huntsville in the First Commercial Bank building. Ken Conner serves as principal-in-charge of the firm's local development efforts. The firm held a reception and ribbon-cutting on May 24 to celebrate.

 

CALIFORNIA

HMWC CPAs, Tustin, has donated $1,500 to Save a Vietnamese Child with Education. ... Professional liability insurer CAMICO posted a gain of $3 million in policyholders' surplus for the year ended Dec. 31, 2010. Its 2010 financial statement shows $945,000 in net income, $35 million in total policyholder surplus, and a 1.3 percent increase in policyholders, to more than 7,700 CPA firms nationwide. The results are posted online at www.camico.com.

The Clayton office of Grant Thornton LLP donated over 20,000 pounds of food as part of "Women at Grant Thornton," a nationwide career development initiative.
