The firm even put out recipe book with all of its creative beverages which can be viewed online.  The drinks were commissioned from a restaurant that was recently named one of the best new restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveler. The cocktails can temporarily relieve the pain of cash flow leaks and equity glitches! And, 10 are booze-free. … HMWC CPAs & Business Advisors, Tustin, returned from their annual “Death March,” marking the 35th anniversary of this event. This annual event is held at different locations each year and involves an extensive, multi-day hiking and camping adventure in the wilderness.  The 2013 edition of the event covered 20 miles of hiking over three days in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. … Sensiba San Filippo LLP, Pleasanton, has been named as one of Silicon Valley Business Journal and San Francisco Business Times’ 2013 Healthiest Employers of the Bay Area.

CONNECTICUT

The Connecticut Society of CPAs has announced its 2013 “New and Young Professionals to Watch,” a select group of three up-and-comers, aged 35 and younger, who have set themselves apart as emerging leaders in the accounting profession.

NEW JERSEY

NJSCPA has hit the social media ground running with its YouTube video series, “Twitter Tuesday Tips.” The video provides helpful hints on practical topics from “Picking a Twitter Handle and Photo” to “Finding People to Follow on Twitter.” Subsequent series will focus on LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media sites. Each episode is just over a minute long and is presented by social media veterans Rachael Bell, NJSCPA Manager of Digital Communications, and Don Meyer, NJSCPA Director of Communications and Marketing. RHODE ISLAND

LGC&D, a Providence, R.I.-based CPA firm, has joined Practicewise, a results-focused group of non-competitive CPA firms in the U.S., which was formed by Eide Bailly.
