ALABAMA

Crow Shields Bailey PC, Mobile, has merged with McKean & Associates PA. The combined firm will operate under the name Crow Shields Bailey PC, and employ more than 40 staff throughout the Gulf Coast. McKean principals Cindy Rathle, CPA, and Ann Broughton, CPA will join the CSB leadership team; five McKean professionals will also join the firm: Teresa J. Ernest, CPA, Scott Eastman, CPA, Lori Blum, Kay Reed and Sharon Hunter.

FLORIDA

Marcum Search LLC has launched a national consulting practice based in South Florida, which will be headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, and be led by Bonnie Koppelman and Randi Valdes.

ILLINOIS

Top 100 Firm Crowe Horwath LLP released its 2015 Financial Institutions Compensation Survey. The survey, now in its 34th year, compiles data from 296 financial institutions, and includes salary benchmarks for 239 job positions. … Top 100 Firm Sikich LLP has been named to the 2015 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States for the third consecutive year.

IRELAND

Baltimore-based Arthur Bell CPAs has formed Arthur Bell Limited based in Ireland to better serve its international clients. It will be managed by partner Michael Minehane.

MINNESOTA

Open Systems Inc., Shakopee, announced the launch of its newly redesigned Web site at OSAS.com. The redesigned site features a responsive design for ease-of-use on mobile devices and traditional screens alike, as well as a new navigation structure to help users get the information they need to make informed decisions.

NEW YORK 

The New York State Society of CPAs has opened a government affairs office in Albany amid a renewedfocus on state legislation and regulations. The office will be used by the aociety’s government affairs team for advocacy efforts with state lawmakers and regulators. The new office is located at 11 North Pearl Street in downtown Albany.

OHIO

Zinner & Co., Beachwood, has been named a Platinum Partner of the Ohio Society of CPAs, signifying a mutual commitment to the industry and investment in assurance and training to better serve clients. The firm was selected as one of only five firms in the state of Ohio and the only firm in Northeastern Ohio.

SOUTH CAROLINA

WISCONSIN

Sikich LLP has acquired Jannsen + Co.’s audit, accounting and tax practice in Milwaukee.
The move will bolster Sikich’s already robust presence in the Milwaukee area and help strengthen the firm’s service offerings. The audit, accounting and tax team will join Sikich’s Milwaukee-area office in Brookfield. Jannsen’s wealth management and information technology groups will remain separate entities. Jannsen shareholder Tim Beine, Dan Beine and Tom Hicken will join the firm as Sikich partners.
