Payroll Vault, a cloud-based payroll service provider, plans to host its first franchisee conference which will take place at the Inverness Hotel in Englewood, Co. The conference serves as an education forum where Payroll Vault franchisees from across the country can gather to exchange ideas, participate in workshops, and learn through peer-to-peer interaction. The conference will take place on September 22 thru the 24, 2013.


CPAmerica International, Gainesville, members recently completed the first year of its new Visitation Improvement Program. The VIP was created as a special program that allows member firms to see the inner workings of their fellow association members in order to continue to improve as a team. The proposed 2014 U.S. GAAP financial reporting taxonomy has been published for public comment by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and is available at The public comment period will end on Oct. 31, 2013. Comments on this taxonomy should be submitted directly into the FASB’s taxonomy viewer.
