Clark Schaefer Hackett donates $80,000 to local fire stations for 80th anniversary

To mark its 80th anniversary, Top 100 firm Clark Schaefer Hackett announced this week that it has raised $80,000 to donate new decontamination units for Ohio and Northern Kentucky fire stations. Through the campaign, dubbed "Healthy Heroes," the firm hopes to give firefighters and first responders better equipment to remove toxins after putting out fires.

“Our firm’s mission is to better the lives of our clients, employees and communities,” stated CSH president Kerry Roe. “As we recognize our 80th year of service, we wanted to rally around a worthwhile initiative that will make a positive difference in our communities. One of our employees brought this idea to our attention, and it seemed like something that would benefit the brave men and women who risk their lives for us every day. We have an ambitious goal, but we’re hopeful that we can provide decontamination units to a number of fire stations that can use them.”

Henry+Horne volunteers at local community garden

Arizona firm Henry+Horne saw over a dozen staff members and family members spend a Saturday morning last month filling planters at the Escalante Community Garden in Tempe. Volunteers helped fill three beds with compost and soil to aid gardeners for the upcoming growing season.

The Escalante Community Garden is a communal garden that donates portions of its produce to volunteer members as well as the Tempe Community Action Agency Food Pantry.
