Platform adds Florida firm

Platform Accounting Group acquired Accounting Specialists, entering the Florida market and expanding its presence in the Southeast.

Accounting Specialists, based in Boca Raton, Florida, will join Platform as ASG Group. It provide accounting, tax, consulting, forensic accounting, payrolls and financial reporting services to clients across construction, manufacturing, retail, nonprofits and more. ASG adds two partners and 13 total staff to Platform's team.

Platform has been growing rapidly in recent years. This year, it added Smeriglio Associates in Connecticut in February, and Riibner and Associates in Maryland in January. In February 2024, it received an $85 million funding round led by Cynosure Group of Salt Lake City. It has added over 10 firms.
