Fuoco Group is expanding from its Long Island base to Miami, combining with Dohan Salum + Company, a CPA firm serving the South Florida area.

Dohan Salum provides accounting, tax, consulting and audit services. As part of the deal, Steven H. Dohan and Irene S. Salum have joined Fuoco Group as directors. The combined firms will operate under the Fuoco Group. Financial terms were not disclosed. Fuoco Group has annual revenue of $13 million.

“This merger is part of Fuoco Group’s plan to develop strong practice niches and expand our geographical reach,” said Fuoco Group managing partner Lou J. Fuoco, CPA, in a statement. “It establishes a significant presence for Fuoco Group in the Miami area and increases and adds Steve’s and Irene’s extensive experience to our skill sets.”

Last month, Fuoco Group created a forensic division with the merger of another firm, AIB Forensics, which has clients in the Southeast and Florida (see Fuoco Group Merges in AIB Forensics).

“Our clients will greatly benefit from the pool of resources Fuoco Group and the BDO Seidman Alliance can provide,” said Dohan. It is exciting to be part of a successful firm such as Fuoco Group, whose commitment to superior quality service matches our business philosophy.”
