G2 Crowd Releases Latest Accounting Software Rankings

G2 Crowd, the user-generated business software review platform, published its updated Grid report for accounting software, ranking nine products based on 425 reviews.

The Summer 2015 results, based on reviews written by business and finance professionals, factors in customer satisfaction reported by users, along with vendor market presence determined by social and public data ranking products.

Named as Leaders—products that received a high customer satisfaction score and have a substantial market presence—were: QuickBooks Desktop, NetSuite ERP, Intacct and Xero.

“Intacct continues to distinguish itself as a leader in the ERP software market,” said Robert Reid, CEO of Intacct, in a statement. “We pride ourselves on not only delivering a cloud ERP system with unmatched accounting functionality, but also providing our users with the highest levels of overall customer satisfaction in the industry. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from Intacct users in the latest G2 Crowd report are a reflection of the hard work put in by everyone here at Intacct.”

To qualify as a High Performer, the product must have a high customer satisfaction score and a smaller market presence than Leaders. FreshBooks was the only solution given that distinction.

Across all nine accounting systems, reviewers said the product they use meets their requirements at an average rate of 79 percent and they are, on average, 75 percent likely to recommend that product. Meanwhile, the highest rated features were internationalization, journal entries and AR automation.

The nine ranked accounting products include functions for dunning, payroll, time tracking and expenses, and can also be an application of or integrated with an ERP software or CRM platform. Those products, which received 10 or more reviews on G2 Crowd to qualify, are: QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Sage, FinancialForce, NetSuite, QuickBooks Desktop, Intacct, Xero and FreshBooks.
