Gilman Ciocia Combines Free Tax Prep with MLB Spring Training

Financial services firm Gilman Ciocia is capitalizing on two perennials for this time of year - tax season and Major League Baseball spring training - to offer free tax prep services to attendees at several upcoming spring training games in Florida.

The offer applies to New York Yankees games at Legends Field in Tampa on March 8, 10 and 13, and to a St. Louis Cardinals game at Roger Dean Stadium in Palm Beach Gardens on March 16. Anyone who purchases a ticket to the baseball game will be able to have a Gilman Ciocia tax professional prepare their individual tax return as well as review their last three years of returns for free.

The firm estimates that individuals will save approximately $111 to $226 with the service. This is the second year that Gilman Ciocia has offered free tax prep at spring training games.

"You just have to pay for a ticket to the game and we will do your taxes for free," said Samantha Rider, a spokesperson for the firm. "We did it last year as well. We also do it the opening week during regular season at Mets games at Shea Stadium." She said the promotion has been successful at bringing new clients in for further consultations at the firm, but had no specific numbers.
