Joey Ward has been named partner-in-charge of Grant Thornton LLP’s Raleigh office.
“We are pleased that Joey will be the leader of our Raleigh practice during this next phase of our growth,” Grant Thornton’s Carolinas office managing partner Dave Wedding said in a statement. “Joey is a partner who understands the needs of his clients, develops a team of committed professionals and gives back to the community — all of the traits required for this role.”
Ward has more than 20 years of experience, and has provided services to public and private companies throughout the Carolinas. He's also worked on an international rotation in Germany with a global accounting firm and had the opportunity to work for a multi-billion dollar construction management firm as a senior finance manager.
Ward, who is a CPA and a native of North Carolina, earned his master’s degree in accountancy and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
