Grassi & Co. Appoints Partner-in-Charge in NYC

David Rottkamp has been named partner-In-charge of Grassi & Co.’s New York City office.

Rottkamp is a partner and the not-for-profit practice leader at the firm. “I am very excited for the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the Firm in the New York Metropolitan area,” said Rottkamp. “I am excited to work with all of our partners to enhance the culture of excellence that drives our commitment to provide exceptional service to our clients and the New York City business community.”

Rottkamp has spent more than 27 years providing audit and advisory services to the not-for-profit industry. Rottkamp has developed the group into a dedicated team of experts, comprised of four partners and 20 staffed professionals who study the industry continuously and have an unmatched knowledge base.

“David’s ability to streamline processes and demonstrate exceptional leadership are just a couple of the reasons he is a fantastic choice to run our New York City location. His ability to inspire our staff as well as exceed our client’s expectations has been a major contribution to the firm’s success,” said the firm’s managing partner and CEO Lou Grassi.

An active member of the New York State Society of CPAs, Rottkamp is Immediate Past Chair of the Not-for-Profit committee and several of its subcommittees, including government funding sources and cost reporting updates. Prior to this, Rottkamp has also chaired the statewide Not-for-Profit Conference for the NYSSCPA for the previous four years. Rottkamp currently chairs the NYSSCPA’s Public Sector Oversight Committee. Rottkamp is the chair of a NYSSCPA subcommittee, working with the New York State Consolidated Fiscal Reporting Interagency Committee, collaborating with NYS officials on CFR audit and preparation quality and possible revisions to Appendix AA, “Audit Guidelines” of the CFR instructional manual and the instruction manual itself.
