Greatland has combined its Winfiler, and services to create a new W-2 and 1099 reporting and online filing system it is calling Yearli.

Yearli was created to be a complete solution for small to midsize businesses and professional accountants.  With Yearli, organizations can choose the product that most closely meets their W-2 and 1099 filing and support needs.

Yearli is designed to help businesses generate, file, print and mail W-2, 1099 and related forms. The Yearli W-2 and 1099 reporting system has three pricing options: Core, Performance and Desktop. Yearli is also providing a pricing calculator to help users find the best option for their filing requirements.

The Core option is for businesses with a small number of W-2 and 1099 forms to file. The free online reporting program leads companies through the process to meet their filing requirements. There is no annual subscription fee for a Yearli Core account and creating an account requires no credit card. Once an account has been created, filing fees are calculated on a per form basis.

The Core option includes federal filing, state reporting, recipient delivery (including print, mail and online delivery), expert help, quarterly filing, data import and guaranteed last-day filing compliance.

The Performance option, also known as Yearli Performance, is for businesses that need the added convenience and security of Taxpayer Identification Number matching or that need to file additional 1099 form types. With Yearli Performance, users receive form volume discounts. There is a $79 annual subscription, which includes TIN matching. Features include everything in the Core option, plus TIN matching, an expanded 1099 form library, enhanced expert support and volume discounts on form filing.

Originally implemented by the IRS, TIN matching allows a 1099 filer to check the Taxpayer Identification Number and a specific name to ensure that there is a match for it in the IRS database. This process helps filers avoid IRS penalties and B-Notices for missing TINs or incorrect name and TIN combinations. Greatland's automated TIN matching service, available in Yearli Performance and Yearli Desktop, integrates with IRS records for easier validation.

The Desktop option, also known as Yearli Desktop, is for accountants and businesses with a large volume of 1099 and W-2 forms to file. The Desktop version requires a $399 annual subscription fee and offers discounted rates for bulk filing. A downloadable version allows users to download the software online directly to their computer. Features in the Desktop option include everything in the Core and Performance options, plus the ability to import data from the prior year, along with the ability to import Excel, CSV (comma-separated value), or QuickBooks data to eliminate re-keying of information. Unlimited payers and recipients can be added to the software. Additional features include free bulk TIN matching; the ability to print forms from the office in many different formats with blank or preprinted forms; automatic data checking and decimal placement; a complete 94x form library, with e-filing for 940, 941 and 944 forms; a state unemployment and withholding form library; and features to help reconcile and get data back into another software program.

“In developing Yearli, Greatland combined its desktop software Winfiler and two Web-based wage-reporting and filing sites for independent contractors and small business: and,” said Greatland CEO Bob Nault in a statement. “After listening to our users, Yearli’s goal is to provide a comprehensive reporting system that was effective for companies at any size. All three options are incredibly intuitive, allowing for fast, efficient and complete federal, state and recipient reporting. Yearli is compatible with all software and online filing platforms and has an optional data import, making setup easy.”
