Hawkins Ash CPAs acquires tax and accounting practice

Wisconsin accounting firm Hawkins Ash CPAs has acquired the Green Bay tax and accounting practice of Brian R. Mudd and Michael D. Willis, effective July 1, 2017.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Mudd and Willis used to be members of the law firm Nelson and Schmeling of Green Bay. The acquisition comes after Mudd’s retirement. Willis plans to still serve clients as an independent contractor of Hawkins Ash CPAs, which is based in La Crosse, Wis. He is the only employee joining the firm. Hawkins Ash CPAs is a $15.5 million firm.
