COUGAR MOUNTAIN INTRODUCES E-COMMERCE SOFTWARE
Cougar Mountain Software has released an e-commerce product, CMS Total eCom. The software works with the vendor's accounting, point-of-sale and fund accounting software. Data Fabrication developed CMS Total eCom for Cougar Mountain using its SitePipe technology.
The software shares orders and inventory information between the accounting program and the Web store, and includes Web site creation and shopping cart design features. Sage Software has begun selling a bundled version of its Peachtree small business accounting and payroll software. CCH APPOINTS TECH VPS
CCH has named two new vice presidents to help spearhead its technology efforts.
Samuel High has been named vice president of specialty market product development, and Scott Gruchot has joined CCH as vice president of advance technology. High will manage software development and integration of CCH's accounting and specialty products, while Gruchot will focus on performance and business improvement processes, acquisition strategies, and new technologies. High has previously worked at Fiserv and General Electric, and Gruchot at SunGard. Both will report to CCH president Mike Sabbatis.
INTUIT WINS ASWA AWARD
Intuit has been named a winner of the American Society of Women Accountants Educational Foundation 2008 Balance Awards. The tax and accounting software developer won in the "Industry Award-National" category.
The foundation honors companies on the national, regional and local levels, and individuals across the country, for their commitment to work/life balance. The Balance Awards were presented at the American Society of Women Accountants /American Woman's Society of CPAs Joint National Conference in Dallas.
