In brief

MYOB UPGRADES PREMIERMYOB has released the 2009 version of its MYOB Premier Accounting software, with extra payroll, security, search, print and spell check features for small businesses.

Customers can now save paycheck details from prior years in their current company file for quicker access. New security features give users the ability to restrict access to sensitive customer information located in a customer's contact card. The program also meets PCI Data Security Standard requirements by only allowing the final four digits of a credit card number to be displayed within the software.

Users can now set up unique user IDs for all employees who access the software, and then restrict those IDs from accessing employee profiles, employee payment details, employee payroll details or all employee cards.

Users can now search by field type, including first name, last name, company name, phone number, e-mail address and more, and can now preview sales, purchases, checks and other forms prior to printing.

The software costs $299 for new users and $159 for upgrades. For more information, visit www.myob-us.com.
