SAGE UPGRADES CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT SOFTWARESage North America has released an upgraded version of its customer relationship management software for small and midsized businesses with new branding and e-mail campaign features.

SageCRM 6.2 is available now as a stand-alone product and as part of the Sage Accpac Extended Enterprise Suite. The software is also due to be available in the Sage MAS 90 and 200 Enterprise Suite. New features include a branding toolkit that can change the look and feel of SageCRM screens with various themes. Users can also now create and graphically view multiple relationships between primary entities such as a holding company and its subsidiaries, and many-to-many relationships such as multiple reps selling to an organization's various divisions.

Enhanced e-mail management features include a multilingual spellchecker for mass e-mail campaigns. A new screen manages updates and links between companies, people and addresses for new and existing contacts. The software also provides additional sales data synchronization, Outlook integration and administrator management improvements.

FIGTREE OFFERS SALES ANALYSIS FOR ACCOUNTMATE

Figtree Software has released Figtree Sales Analysis, a management decision-making tool for businesses that use AccountMate software.

The software allows managers to "slice and dice" sales information, comparing and rating sales results according to various combinations of customer, sales person, product line and date range. The tool works with both the Microsoft SQL database and LAN versions of AccountMate software. It generates reports in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as in the form of e-mail messages and Adobe PDF files.

THOMSON REUTERS UPGRADES NETCLIENT CS

Thomson Reuters' Tax & Accounting business has updated its accounting firm portal software, NetClient CS, adding Reuters news updates, data-sharing, and online billing and collection features.

NetClient CS offers accountants and their clients a secure means of accessing documents and software, transferring data and conveying information via private portals. The latest version includes the ability to share data in real-time. It can push invoices to clients and collect credit card payments electronically.

Users can also upload multiple files at once. With Reuters news widgets, accountants can provide clients with automatic news updates.

INTUIT RANKS ON INFLUENTIAL COMPANY LIST

Tax and accounting software vendor Intuit made BusinessWeek's list of the World's Most Influential Companies.

The magazine noted that Intuit's TurboTax brand owns almost 80 percent of the consumer tax preparation software market, while QuickBooks commands 90 percent of the small-business accounting software market. "As the public moves to filing their taxes online, the company aims to stay ahead of the curve by introducing Web-based tools for personal finance management," said the magazine.
