Incisive Launches Spreadsheet Collaboration Application

Spreadsheet analysis and management application developer Incisive has released Concourse, spreadsheet collaboration and control software that gives audit teams the ability to use Microsoft Excel to proactively manage risk and exposure.

Collaboration features allow project administrators to set up their own project teams within Concourse. The project administrator may assign roles and tasks to each team member as well as send e-mail notifications regarding tasks and status changes.

Concourse offers an array of standard reports to help auditors keep track of the locations and owners of spreadsheets, and most recently published spreadsheets, in a repository. The repository may be hosted in the cloud by Incisive, reside on a local network, or remain on a local computer as designated by company policies.

“To proactively reduce errors in spreadsheets, companies must provide employees with solutions that work with incumbent tools, like Microsoft Excel, to help them accomplish their tasks and give them confidence in their spreadsheets,” said Incisive engineering lead Kevin Swartz. “However, audit teams are tasked with keeping the organization’s risk exposure to a minimum. What makes Concourse unique is its focus on the collaborative process between audit teams and employees. The natural result of implementing Concourse is visibility and control of critical spreadsheets within the organization.”
