IRS' Head of Small Biz Division Resigns

   

Washington (Feb. 21, 2003) -- Joseph Kehoe, commissioner of the IRS Small Business/Self-Employed division, announced that he is leaving the agency in early April, according to a Tax Analysts report.Kehoe has led the small business division for nearly 3 ½ years.

The SB/SE section handles the concerns of nearly 40 million taxpayers, including small businesses with assets under $5 million, the self-employed, estate and gift taxpayers, fiduciary return filers, and taxpayers filing international returns.

No replacement had been immediately named.
