IRS Hosts Webcast on Prepping for End-of-Year Payroll Filings

The Internal Revenue Service is co-sponsoring a Webcast to help tax practitioners and payroll professionals prepare year-end filings.

The November Tax Talk Today Webcast will focus on common questions and mistakes in getting ready to issue Forms W-2 and 1099 and on ways to make the year-end process as smooth as possible. The program will also focus on electronic filing of W-2s and 1099s, and provide updates on the new Form 941.

The show, "Payroll Prep for the Year End," will be held Nov. 9 from 2 - 3 p.m. EST. Payroll professionals and tax practitioners are eligible to receive continuing education credits for viewing the program. To register, visit http://www.TaxTalkToday.tv.

Panelists include Nora Daly, CPP, senior legislative analyst for Oracle Corp.; Chuck Liptz, director for employer wage reporting and relations for the Social Security Administration; and Jerri L.S.
