ISM Joins Acumatica Channel

Top Sage partner and VAR 100 firm ISM has joined the Acumatica channel, just weeks after divesting the majority of its Sage 500 ERP practice.

ISM ranked 51 on the Accounting Today VAR 100 list and currently also represents Sage 100 ERP, 300, X3 and NetSuite.

“We’ve been trying to make more of a jump into the cloud, looked at them a few years back and weren’t ready yet but recently we decided to revisit them. What I liked was that it places well in the marketplace we tend to go after, which are the 10 to 40 user deals and I like that we have more options for that market now,” said ISM president BJ O’Reilly. “We host a lot and so they have ability to do it in their cloud, we can host it, or deliver on premise and I’ve been looking for that type of opportunity. We can sell it to whatever user skews we want and the application is very technologically proficient too.”

O’Reilly also noted that they have a few NetSuite deals pending, but they are “larger and more complex” than anything he would do with Acumatica, as were the deals he is seeing with Sage X3.

“Even with divesting Sage 500 we needed a portfolio to be in line with what we wanted to do and we took the time to see if [Acumatica] would fit the portfolio,” said O’Reilly. “We put then through some exhaustive preparation and they passed.”

In November, ISM worked out a deal with Sage partner RKL eSolutions whereby it would take on the majority of its Sage 500 practice as well as three of the firm’s consultants.

Acumatica recently touted the addition of 50 members to its worldwide channel this year, the largest of which was Sage partner SWK Technologies.

“ISM is a highly recognized reseller with years of experience and a robust customer base. The company’s dedication to its customers, experienced consultants, and reputation for leadership and success are all qualities we seek out in partners,” Acumatica chief executive Yury Larichev said regarding the addition of ISM.
