ITA Names Lissa Johnsen as First VP

The Information Technology Alliance, an independent membership association of mid-market technology professionals, consultants and product and service providers in North America, named Lissa Johnsen as vice president.

The new position was created to take over most of the responsibilities of Jo Ann Benzer, who will be retiring in August after 19 years with the ITA.

A longtime ITA member and past member of the board of directors, Johnsen most recently served as treasurer of the organization. Johnsen also serves as employer solutions practice director as IT consulting firm and ITA member Net@Work. She previously managed her own IT consulting firm, Business Technology Solutions, for 15 years before its merger into Net@Work in 2008.

Johnsen will be transitioning from her role at Net@Work over the next six months, working with ITA president Stan Mork and Benzer to assume her new position.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have Lissa join the ITA leadership team,” stated Benzer. “She has worked closely with me for over 10 years through her work as an ITA board member and as ITA treasurer, and I’m looking forward to transitioning my responsibilities for meeting planning, back office administration and member communications and engagement to Lissa.”

Johnsen, who will begin working in her new capacity in February, will be involved in the planning activities for the ITA Spring Collaborative in Houston April 17-19.

“It gives me great confidence to be working with Lissa to lead the ITA forward into our next chapter, and I feel very fortunate to have someone with such a long history of involvement with the ITA to be working with me and our members,” stated Mork . “I’m also very appreciative to Eddie and Alex Solomon at Net@Work for supporting Lissa’s decision to become part of the ITA’s management staff, and working with us on her six month transition plan.”
