Accounting and risk advisory services provider Jefferson Wells has established an alliance with Sawyer & Co., a specialist forensic and investigative accounting firm. The alliance agreement was completed on March 1, 2010.

The highly complex world of forensic and investigative accounting requires deep technical expertise and knowledge. With fraud incidents on the rise, the demand for specialized expertise in areas such as forensic accounting investigations, computer forensics and litigation support has markedly increased, particularly in industries such as financial services, health care, construction and communications.

“This partnership enhances our existing forensic accounting delivery capabilities to our clients by enabling us to leverage and integrate our solutions with Sawyer’s extensive niche expertise in specialized technical areas including intricate forensic accounting investigations and litigation support,” said Jefferson Wells president and COO Michael Touhey in a statement.
