Katz, Sapper & Miller plans to merge in another Indianapolis accounting firm, Heaton and Eddie, to build its healthcare and employee benefits consulting capabilities.
Heaton and Eddie provides accounting, tax and business management services to clients, but specializes in healthcare and employee benefits consulting.
All of Heaton's 31 staff members will join Katz's 30 partners and 215 staff members in Katz's offices, according to the Indianapolis Star. The merger will take effect Aug. 1.
"As Katz, Sapper & Miller continues to grow, we remain committed to providing superior resources and capabilities for our clients," said managing partner David Resnick in a statement. "Heaton and Eddie's professionals support our mission in every aspect of our business and culture."
Katz ranks 74th on Accounting Today's list of the Top 100 Firms, with $38 million in revenue.
