Florida accounting firm Kauffman, Rossin & Co. has brought on board the team from Ft. Lauderdale-based London Witte & Co.

The firms are not calling the deal a merger, but effectively the team from London Witte is joining Kauffman Rossin, including partners Edward P. Hirschberg and Martin J. Kurtz. Hirschberg will serve as Broward practice leader for Kaufman, Rossin & Co. He served as managing director with London Witte and has been a practicing CPA since 1972. Kurtz will serve as client services executive at Kaufman Rossin.  He was the director of accounting and audit services at London Witte and has more than 40 years of experience as a CPA.

Kaufman Rossin has relocated its Broward County offices to London Witte’s offices in Ft. Lauderdale. Kaufman Rossin also has offices in Miami and Boca Raton. A separate London Witte Group accounting firm operates in Indiana and is not part of the merger.
