Kirtley Nominated to Papa John's Board

Louisville, Ky. (April 15, 2003) - Former AICPA chair Olivia F. Kirtley has been nominated to serve on the board of pizza operator and franchisor Papa John’s International.

Kirtley was one of two new directors nominated to the company board. Papa John’s said it was reshuffling its board composition in order to comply with regulations in the Sarbanes-Oxley Act which state that the majority of corporate boards be comprised of independent directors by 2004.

Kirtley served as AICPA chair from 1998 to1999, the first woman to hold that post, and was the former chief financial officer at Louisville-based Vermont American Corp.

Papa John’s annual meeting is scheduled for May 15 in Louisville.
