John Veihmeyer, the global chairman of KPMG and chairman and CEO of KPMG in the U.S., has joined the board of trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation, the parent organization of the Financial

Accounting Standards Board and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board.
Veihmeyer was appointed to the FAF board of trustees Thursday, along with Myra Drucker, who chairs the Risk and Audit Committee of Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC, a privately held global investment management firm. She also chairs the board of TrustedPeer Inc., an online business consulting network.

Their terms last until Dec. 31, 2019. They will be replacing Luis M. Viceira, a professor at Harvard Business School, and Edward E. Nusbaum, the CEO of Grant Thornton International, whose terms ended on Jan. 14, 2015.

The trustees also announced that FAF trustee, secretary and treasurer Ann Marie Petach was reappointed to a second term that ends on Dec. 31, 2017. She serves on the board of BlackRock Institutional Trust Company.

The trustees also accepted the resignation of Teri L. List-Stoll, executive vice president and CFO of Kraft Foods, effective Dec. 31, 2014. They expect to fill her position later this year.
