Regarding your editorial "Tax Tsunami" (Accounting Today, Aug. 17-31, 2009, page 4), the temperature has been cooling for the last several years.
There is not widespread agreement among knowledgeable scientists that global warming even exists, despite the media's screaming to the contrary.
Even if it does exist, since other countries have not signed on to this foolish legislation, it is unlikely that it will be of benefit. China and India are the world's greatest offenders.
This is a unilateral approach to a world situation that is likely to break our economy.
