Customer relationship management provider LexisNexis Interface Software has released InterAction 5.5 - an upgrade of its flagship CRM product for professional services organizations such as accounting and law firms.Built on Microsoft's .Net platform, the enhanced InterAction 5.5 offers new features and functions ranging from activity configuration enhancements to the ability to apply additional information fields to matters, deals, opportunities and engagements.

It also expands the scope of data that user firms can centrally capture and manage, and features new reporting capabilities, including customized and tailored access to relationship intelligence in myriad layouts and formats.

"We've built upon the InterAction platform and expanded its capabilities," explained John McDonnell, vice president and general manager of LexisNexis InterAction.

LexisNexis said that more sophisticated reports can be created to support marketing and business development teams in client development and client services efforts.

Sample reports available on InterAction 5.5 include: "Who Knows Whom," activities, win/loss analysis on opportunities, marketing event analysis, change reports, customized overview reports, marketing and working list inclusions, and contact type reports. InterAction 5.5 reports can also be created in Microsoft Reporting Services, Crystal Reports and common file formats, including Excel and XML.

InterAction 5.5 also now provides synchronization with the Outlook calendar, and adds support and enhanced mailing capabilities for users that are based, or doing business, internationally.

InterAction and all its related modules now support Unicode data, enabling multinational customers to integrate their contact data into InterAction from all users and sources, regardless of character set and most languages.

Country-specific data now adheres to international standards, easing the entry process for contacts, developing mailings lists, executing mailings and creating reports.

Moreover, LexisNexis said that a user's home country and language can be configured within all InterAction environments and reports, enabling dates, times and decimal numbers to be formatted to the standard conventions of the user's location.
