Louisville Accounting Firm MP Stepping Down

Louisville, Ky. (Aug. 23, 2002) -- Henry "Sonny" Altman, managing partner of accounting firm Deming, Malone, Livesay & Ostroff will retire from his post effective Sept. 30, according to Business First of Louisville.

DMLO requires partners to retire when they turn 66. Altman told the paper that he turns 66 on Sept. 28 and the firm’s fiscal year ends Sept. 30, so "it works out just beautifully."

Audit partner Jerry Hurt, 54, will step into the top role on Oct. 1.

DMLO is currently owned by 13 partners, and employees 45 professionals and 23 other full-time staffers.
