Weiss merges in Fischman
Details: Weiss & Company LLP, a firm based in Glenview, Ill., has merged in Fischman & Associates, a CPA firm located in Arlington Heights, effective Nov. 1, 2017.
Led by Richard Fischman, the firm has offered accounting, consulting and tax services for over 25 years. Weiss plans to maintain the Arlington Heights office as a second location to service clients.
“We are excited to welcome Richard and his staff to the Weiss family and know that their dedication to exceptional service will help us to further serve our client base,” said Weiss managing partner Dan Fortman in a statement.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. As a result of the merger, however, Weiss’s revenues are just under $8 million.
The deal is the second merger for Weiss & Company in the past 12 months. Last December, Weiss added a pair of CPAs, Karen Leavitt and Sandra Siegal, and their staff. A 2017 Best Place to Work in Illinois award recipient, Weiss now has 60 employees, including nine partners and 47 staff members in Glenview. Fischman & Associates has one partner and three staff members.
