Macias Gini Merges in Bernstein Fox

California accounting firms Macias Gini & O’Connell and Bernstein, Fox, Whitman, Goldman & Baumblatt LLP have combined forces.

The merger took effect Jan. 1. “We are proud to merge with a firm that shares our dedication to unparalleled client service and limitless opportunity,” said MGO managing partner Kevin O’Connell in a statement. “I’m excited to be bringing over this highly talented and dedicated group of partners and staff.”

MGO, established in 1987, provides assurance, tax and consulting services to organizations in the communications, government, manufacturing, nonprofit, real estate and technology industries through six locations statewide. Bernstein Fox is a full-service CPA firm specializing in business management services for high-net-worth individuals, families, and their companies along with providing accounting, audit, taxation, litigation support and consultative services. Bernstein Fox has provided quality service to clients in the Los Angeles region for four decades.

Bernstein Fox will retain its name during a transitional period before becoming part of the MGO name and brand. It will continue to operate out of its current location in the Century City district of Los Angeles. MGO partner James Godsey will relocate from MGO’s downtown Los Angeles location to the offices in Century City. Employees at both businesses will be retained.
