Garden City, N.Y. (May 6, 2003) -- As part of an initiative to expand the marketing and business development programs for its practice groups, Margolin, Winer & Evens has named Luis Portiansky to the role of Director of Marketing.
He will be responsible for the full-scale development and implementation of MWE's marketing and sales programs including advertising, public relations, direct mail, Internet marketing, conferences, educational programming, sales training and strategic alliances.
Prior to joining MWE, Portiansky served as director of marketing for Melville, N.Y.-based Humanic Solutions and as vice president of marketing for Citicorp Information Resources, Personnel Services & Technology in Melville. He also served as senior consultant, strategic marketing services for New York-based CPA firm Richard A. Eisner & Co. (now known as Eisner), where he managed the firm’s marketing function and consulting practice.
Portiansky has served as an Assistant Vice President with Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. in New York, where he was responsible for the marketing and sales of technical training programs in-house and internationally to Morgan affiliates. He is the author of a weekly column, "Minority Owned Business Development Strategies," on the Web site www.longisland.com.
