McConnell Jones, the largest African American-owned CPA firm in the U.S., appointed William Taylor, Jr. to become its next managing partner at the conclusion of a two-year transition period.
Upon the completion of the transition, founder and current managing partner Wayne McConnell will assume the role of chairman.

"William has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of our firm's culture, values and strategic direction," McConnell said in a statement. "He exhibits a high degree of self-awareness, adeptly integrating analytical and intuitive approaches in his decision-making. Having successfully built and led his own firm for 25 years, Taylor CPA & Associates, William consistently exhibits the entrepreneurial acumen and operational proficiency essential for steering our business forward. I am confident he will continue to build on the strong foundation we have established."
Taylor currently serves as a tax partner. During the transition period, he will work with the firm's leadership to take on expanded responsibilities. His focus will be on strategic growth, talent development, infrastructure expansion and consistent service to clients.
"I appreciate the trust and confidence the firm has placed in me," Taylor said in a statement. "McConnell Jones has a longstanding legacy of excellence, integrity and service. I look forward to working alongside our team, continuing to advance the firm's mission while supporting our clients and communities.
