CPA firm Mize, Houser & Co. has teamed up with software developer Star Americas Software Solutions to offer a practice management program aimed at midsized to large accounting firms.
The software, known as Star Global, will be marketed in the Americas, including the U.S., Canada, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.
Mize Houser developed a widely used practice management system, CPA/MIS, over 20 years ago, back in the pre-Windows days of DOS, and currently supports an active user group of 25 firms.
The firm will work with Star to transition the CPA/MIS client base to Star Global. In addition, Mize, Houser will market Star Global to midsized firms, while Stars main marketing focus will be the Top 100 firms in the U.S.
Star and its associated companies have invested in excess of $10 million in overall product development over the past eight years and plan to continue to develop the software to reflect best practices within the accounting profession.
