MNP to Merge in Toronto Firm

Meyers Norris Penney, one of Canada's largest accounting and business advisory firms, will merge in Toronto-area firm Retford Lane Bates, effective June 1.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Retford Lane Bates focuses on credit unions as well as private companies and nonprofits. The union brings two partners and a total of eight members to MNP.
MNP chief executive Daryl Ritchie said the deal would bolster MNP’s existing reach into the credit union sector.

“Like MNP, Retford Lane Bates also has a significant credit union client base and we’re looking forward to working together to better serve this important group.” The Retford Lane Bates team will be moving into MNP’s Markham, Ontario, office.
