Moss Adams Acquires New Mexico's Neff+Ricci

Moss Adams LLP announced that it expects to acquire Neff+Ricci LLP of Albuquerque, N.M., in a deal that would take effect Jan. 1.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Neff+Ricci was founded in Albuquerque in 1947 and is the largest accounting firm in New Mexico, with 15 partners and more than 100 professionals. The firm provides business assurance, tax and consulting services to public, private and governmental enterprises, and specializes in practice areas such as dealer services, financial institutions, health care, federal, state, and tribal governments, gaming operations, real estate and construction, nonprofits, and defense contractors.

Moss Adams chief executive Rick Anderson said that his firm is continuing to look to expand in new markets, and Neff+Ricci fits well within their growth strategy.

"We explored a number of national and super-regional firms to join, and Moss Adams was clearly the best choice for us," said Neff+Ricci managing partner Wayne Brown, in a statement. "They have tremendous depth and experience in the industry sectors we currently serve, benefiting our clients and staff."

Moss Adams ranked No. 14 on Accounting Today's 2005 Top 100 Firms list with annual revenues of about $199 million and offices in California, Oregon and Washington State.
