UHY strengthens CAS practice

UHY acquired Michigan CFO Associates, expanding the Top 50 Firm's advisory capabilities.

MICFO, founded in 2006 and based in Clinton Township, Michigan, provides fractional CFO, financial leadership and advisory services to entrepreneur-led businesses. UHY ranked No. 26 on Accounting Today's 2026 Top 100 Firms list, with $471 million in revenue and roughly 200 partners and over 2,000 staff across 40 offices.

UHY received a private equity investment from Summit Partners in December 2024, fueling a wave of dealmaking. In August, the firm acquired Anderson, Lower, Whitlow in Iowa. Earlier this year, it added Larson Tax Partners in St. Louis, and RBT and CMJ, both in New York. In 2025, it added Sabino & Co. and Botz Deal & Co., both in the St. Louis area, and Tama, Budaj & Raab in Michigan. 

Prior to its PE investment, it acquired Paresky Flitt & Co. in Massachusetts; Baird, Cotter & Bishop PC in Michigan; Ross, Langan & McKendree in Virginia; Jansen Valk Thompson Reahm in Michigan; LWBJ in Iowa; and TGM Group LLC and Stoy Malone, both in Maryland.
