MP&S, Decosimo Forge Alliance to Offer International Tax Services

Top-ranked accounting firms Marks Paneth & Shron LLP of New York City and Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Decosimo CPAs have forged a strategic alliance to provide sophisticated international tax planning and consulting services to midsized businesses.

MP&S Decosimo Global will operate as a strategic alliance between the two firms, supplementing the services that they will continue to offer independently in their respective regions. The alliance will be headed by Laurence Feibel of Marks Paneth & Shron and William Elliott of Decosimo.

MP&S Decosimo Global will provide services that include international tax compliance, audit and return preparation; tax-efficient tax planning and restructuring; international management advisory services; transfer pricing; captive insurance companies; and asset protection trusts.

Both firms are affiliated with international firm association Jeffreys Henry International.

Marks Paneth & Shron, which ranked No. 34 on Accounting Today's 2005 Top 100 Firms list with revenue of $52.5 million, has niche practices in real estate, media and entertainment, nonprofit organizations, financial and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals, service businesses, international taxation, and energy industries. The firm also provides litigation and forensic accounting, valuation services, and information technology consulting services through wholly owned subsidiaries.

Decosimo, which ranked No. 95 on the 2005 Top 100 Firms List with revenue of $20.75 million, specializes in alternative finance, financial institutions, health care, hospitality, manufacturing and real estate. Decosimo Corporate Finance provides valuation services, debt and equity financing, and assistance in acquisition and divestitures.
