Integration technology supplier MuleSoft has developed a new cloud integration application with cloud-based sales tax automation provider Avalara.
Called Avalara iApp4Tax, the new iApp is offered by MuleSoft and runs as a packaged integration application on the MuleSoft Mule iON integration platform as a service. Avalara iApp4Tax is designed to integrate with enterprise resource planning and e-commerce accounting applications to enable connection with Avalara’s transactional tax compliance software AvaTax.
Avalara also provides an application programming interface and software development kits for customers who require custom integrations, but it expects iON to dramatically simplify the implementation process for many customers, according to Avalara chief executive Scott McFarlane.
“Mule iON provides a great alternative to those customers who previously relied on custom integration code to access our sales tax solutions,” said McFarlane. “With iApp4Tax, many more customers can now quickly and easily access our advanced tax decision technology.”
