The National Association of Enrolled Agents has named Michael Nelson as the organizations new executive vice president.
Nelson, who took office Sept. 1, will be responsible for implementing the goals and initiatives set by the NAEA board in accordance with the organizations strategic plan.
Nelson has a 20-year career in association management and earned the designation of certified association executive from the American Society of Association Executives. He served most recently as chief operating officer at the Society of Nuclear Medicine, where he focused on rebranding initiatives and developing a Leadership Academy.
Nelson has also served as CFO and senior vice president for finance and administration at the National Building Museum, as CEO of the Audubon Naturalist Society of the Central Atlantic States, as well as vice president of the Florida Audubon Society.
