NASBA to Host International Accounting Forum

Accounting regulators from more than 15 countries plan to gather at a forum in Boston next week hosted by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.

The Forum of International Accountancy Regulators will include participants from China, Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom and other countries. Regulators will discuss International Financial Reporting Standards, the maintenance of professional competency and global public protection. 

Public Company Accounting Oversight Board Chairman Mark Olson will join International Federation of Accountants Chairman Robert Bunting at the forum, along with Public Interest Oversight Board member Aulana Peters, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland executive director Mark Allison and China Securities Regulatory Commission chief accountant Zhonghui Zhou.

The forum will take place Oct. 29-30 at the Westin Copley Place. NASBA will host the forum in conjunction with its 101st annual meeting on Oct. 26-28. For more information, visit www.nasba.org.
